Document Summary
It impacts what we believe and how we feel about our environments: color and light are virtually inseparable but we will try to understand this; thus we start with additive and subtractive color. Color systems: (all color systems are theoretical and abstract ways of understanding color and communicating color to others) Munsell color system: a spherical three-dimensional object with latitudes of value, longitudes of hue, most common color system used today still a theory. Inside the system every possible color can be described by hue, chroma, and value. and depths of chroma or saturation. Rgb & cymk systems: rgb: a color mixing system and notation that is based on the color mixing of the primary colors of lights, or additive color. Red green and blue: desktop apps and web-based systems, used by screens, cymk: a color mixing system and notation that is based on the color mixing of the primary colors of pigment, or subtractive color.
