Kin lecture 1: discovering the field of physical activity. The school of kinesiology is concerned with the many aspects of human movement and its application to physical activity and the quality of life. Faculty members are dedicated to a broad understanding of health and exercise in schools, community fitness centers, hospitals, rehab units, business and industry, and a variety of sports settings. The program explores a full continuum of processes and outcomes and concerned with individuals ranging from young to old, healthy to diseased, and skilled to unskilled. A characteristic of humanity that underscores the interdependence and interrelatedness of mind, emotions, body and spirit. Ex: stress built up from stress of finals week can cause immune system to lower and individual may catch cold the week later. Kin lecture 2: introduction to history and philosophy of sport and physical education. History may repeat itself if we don"t learn from the past. Ideas that have withstood the test of time.
