As we look at four categories involved with the product: convenience, shopping, specialty, unsought. The four components of a product: packaging of the product- what about the package made you buy the product, warranty- there is an implied and written warranty, service after a sale, brand or the company"s image. One of them is to contain and protect the product. And the final function is to promote the product. You have to be able to promote it because that"s when the package has the most life in general. Things that matter in promoting a product: color because it serves as a source identifier. Size: there is something about a small package. You want the sound of a product to resonate. Sound matters, think of the catchy tunes associated with brands like. Think of the smell of a new car; once you smell that smell you"re hooked. In a showroom, that smell will linger and mean something.
