The charioteer is our rational soul and the horses are the appetitive and spirited soul. The goal is to build up the strength of the charioteer so he may reign in the forces: he tied this conception to one of the first utopias. We will give them the skills to speak, become athletic, gymnastics, military arts, mathematics. These will be the people in industry, military, etc: the people who have the strong rational soul, the lovers of wisdom, will be the leaders, the policy makers. So far, all of these thinkers have been on the non-science end of the spectrum. The following thinkers are on the scientific side of thinking.
