People who are religious vs people who aren"t religious. The concern is that people who are or are not religious will have a different perspective. Taboos are people, places, ideas, actions etc. that should be avoided. (10 commandments) Rite of passage are rituals to mark key moments in people lives-from one stage of life to another. (bat mitzvah) Animism is the belief that there are spiritual forces in the natural world. Magic that if you do certain things you will bring about change. (prayer) Divinization learn, interpret, and understand things about the future through rituals. Sacrifices is giving something and the idea is that there is someone on the receiving end. (fasting) Myths are stories often times about creation which is believed to not be historically accurate. It is about religious and spiritual truths which don"t matter if it accurate. Rituals are repetitive actions with symbolic meaning behind them, believed they are powerful and can change things.
