Lots of different groups were trying to understand how, so this council has been held several times over since the very first. Jesus, divine nature that"s clothed in human nature. Empisize human nature so that humans can relate. Empisize divine nature so that humans can see that only god, only jesus, could be without sin, and the only mediator that can portray both sides comes from god (he"s his begotten son), assure reconciliation. Explained as a way to deal with human condition in faith, not in understanding. Jesus is a tool being used by god, for the greater goodness of god: god is revealing his grace, prophet of god, more than just a man.
