She loves the catholic hymns, liturgies, architecture, rites, and ceremonies. Honesty plays a large role in her life. She only wanted to learn about the good in every religion, not about the doubt. Simone weil has the ability to empathize with others. Won"t eat sugar because the soldiers can"t have any at war. She was fearful of temptation so she didn"t join these groups. She fears the church patriotism: defending the church just because it"s the church not. She loves the 6 or 7 catholics that"s she"s met that are of genuine faith. She has a martyr complex she"s suffering because she doesn"t think she deserves better. Wants to do god"s will whether it"s good or bad for her. She won"t do anything without it being the direct will of god. This is putting a little too much dependence on god. The church needs to be truly catholic and it"s not catholic enough.
