Document Summary

Conservation ultimately depends on stewardship of the planet to sustain. The most important part is to commit to sustaining and taking care of the eco system. Frontier ethic ====what we need to do ====> conservation ethics, this will tell us what is right and wrong. Destroying resources is wrong, polluting is wrong, using resources unsustainably is wrong. Conservation has never taken hold in the us, and needs to be a function of ethics and social tradition. If we put value on resources and ecosystems we can use ethics to protect them and stewardship to take care of them and conserve them. Clear and understandable for intended audience, not leading. Anthropocentric values we assign to resources, are part of the ethical obligation to protect restore and enhance. We don"t inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children david brower. Resource conservation can be viewed as applied ecology.
