THTR 1020 Lecture : Clybourne Park Notes
Document Summary
I see the set of clybourne park as one of the most important factors with the establishment of the play for me. At first when i took my seat, all that was visible was a minimalistic set of a table and a few boxes. It left me wondering as to what type of set would be used in the play. When the curtains opened, i saw the scene of a typical house from the era of the fifties. This help me connect with the style of the play and immediately prepared me for the type of diction used and the mannerisms portrayed by the actors. With the full set in vision i was able to piece together that they were packing up to move, based on the boxes places everywhere, and very little house like details on the set. The set itself left me with no questions for the way that anything was set up.
