Communication process through which people use messages to generate meanings within and across context, cultures, channels and media. We use our 5 senses to communicate. Interpersonal communication a dynamic form of communication between 2 or more people in which the messages exchanged significantly influence their thoughts, emotions, behaviors and relationships (constantly changing) The communication choices we make determine the personal, interpersonal and relationship outcomes that follow. Motives for interpersonal communications include: achieving goals, self-presentations, instrumental, relationship. Self fulfillment needs: self-actualization, achieving one"s full potential, including creative activities. Psychological needs: esteem needs, prestige and feeling of accomplishment, belongingness and love needs, intimate relationships, friends.
