Social self - is the building of one"s self-image from the judgments of others, usually in relationship, or at least from what they imagine such evaluations to be. Our identities require acknowledgment from society to become truly meaningful, or even to exist. (ex. Being given our first and last names and requiring others to use it) Personhood - is the multiplicity of social roles, or the presentations of self that we strategically embody when participating in different social worlds. For example, how our interpersonal demeanor shifts when we interact with our parents, high school friends, college classmates, professors, police officers, co-workers, and bosses. Market mavens- are people who have a wealth of knowledge about a variety of products and has a greater influences of consumption and cultural taste on their peers. They want the knowledge as well as the opportunity to share their knowledge of expertise. They anticipate using their knowledge in social interactions.
