Sex one"s biological identity which we typically refer to as male or female. Male hermaphrodites who live their lives as males: ferms xx chromosomes having ovaries and some aspects of male genitalia, but lack testes. Female hermaphrodites who typically live their lives as females. Sexuality a whole constellation of sexual behaviors, identities, meaning systems, and institutional practices that constitute sexual experience within a society. At this time, the language of sexuality was not always necessary. During the early victorian era (1820-1860) the emphasis of language was not sexual identity, but true love. During the late victorian period (1860-1890) with the industrial revolution and the transformation of the family from producer to consumer, we see the language of normal love and sexual pervert to appear. In the late 1800s and the beginning of the 20th century, heterosexuality and homosexuality was language used by physicians, scientists, etc. During this time, biologist alfred kinsey became interest in sexual behavior of humans.
