Political socialization gets people talking; use this to learn from like-minded people; educational- gets people talking of interests. Recruitment candidates to run for office; people who will bring people together. Those who would never be a candidate; also voters. Policy making- policy makers will work within their own team; legislature. Control of politicians way of controlling/ not supporting politician by taking any say in power. Disciplines memberships; this reigns in politicians who are saying crazy things. Party systems: one party system china; the only legal party system. Here, politician parties are bad because they are preventing democracy to happen: one party dominant systems- no viable competition; look at the party and the competition is within the political party of a county.
