Lombroso: born criminals, atavistic, crime is due to biological inferiority, first to use systematic info to study criminal, says to look at/for large ears, tattoos, skin color, left handiness, criminals are less than human. Hooton: criminal types, degenerates, didn"t believe there is a superior group, within in each race, cannot be reformed. New american criminals: doesn"t target a specific group, each race has its problems, murders taller, burglars thinner. Eugenics: poverity, alcoholism were inherited traits, sterilized people to prevent them from having kids, targeted women and more blacks than whites, ordered to perform on girls under 15.
