What is law: law is the cultural knowledge that people use to settle disputes by means of agents who have the recognized authority to do so, ex. Article 18 describes the case of a young gypsy man accused of stealing another"s identity. The case is heard in a court of law where decisions are made by people with the authority to do so. Kind of disputes: infralegal disputes are those that occur outside the legal system without involving violence, extralegal disputes occur outside the law and escalate into violence. Political systems: political systems represent the process for making and carrying out public policy, example: article 17 describes the functioning of an important component of the political system in nigeria: bureaucracy.
