Solvable problems - psychology addresses questions that have an answer. When we have multiple explanations and we go with the simple one. Data doesn"t exist until it is verified and able to be replicated. Think of that drug that was supposed to cure morning sickness but really it caused birth defects because it wasn"t replicated or verified before it was consumed. Description - describing what is out there. Prediction - looking at a specific factor you think is important before it happens.
