Emotionally intelligent people are able to combine the three main elements of emotions, cognitive, physiological, and behavioral, in a way that is purposeful. A high ei = most successful people (empathy, compassion, and selflessness are associated with high emotional intelligence) Important abilities in emotional intelligence are: self-awareness, impulse control, self-motivation, persistence, social deftness.
