Taxonomy ~ rules for identifying and classifying organisms. Domain - kingdom - phylum - class - order - family - genus - species. Adaptation ~ any modification that makes an organism better suited to its way of life. (evolution results in heritable traits which promote survival and reproductive success) All these processes occur to all species even humans. contrary to what aristotle thought.
