Monochronality is when one engages in one task or behaviour at a time. Polychronality is when one engages in multiple activities simultaneously. Time can be used strategically, e. g. by spending time with a person to signal to them that they are important to you: proxemics is the study of space. Proxemics considers how people use spatial cues, including interpersonal distance, territoriality, and other space relationships, to communicate. Proxemics is influenced by culture, gender, relationship to others, and personality. Intimate space: 0 to 18 inches, usually reserved for lovemaking, comforting, and protecting.
