Since 2001, the united states became increasingly involved in the middle east. This is greatly due to the amount of terrorism that exists in the world today. One of the western"s world"s greatest fears is that the middle east will obtain nuclear weapons and engage in nuclear war. Which most of us understand would have no positive outcome. To avoid this from happening many measures have been taken in order to reduce the number of resources, and funding iran receives. Recently in 2013, it was discovered that iran had two facilities that were capable of producing nuclear weapons. Barack obama, president of the united states was one of the first world leaders to shed light on why we should be worried about this. As a result, he gave a speech at american university on august 5, 2015. History played a large role in why this paramount current event has gained a great deal of attention from august to september.
