Not charged means not attracted to other molecules. Charged bonds to other molecules, increases rate of absorption. First pass go through very acidic environment in the stomach. Break down outer shell of drug in stomach. Make sure absorption of drug can still occur. There are 4 common ways to administer drugs into the body.
