Group portrait looks like a narrative night patrol. People paid rembrandt to be included in the group portrait. The painting is so thick it almost had a relief: vermeer. Fluff that"s seen in rococo is not present in neoclassicism. 3rd of may 1808-by goya-painted after napoleon"s troops have gone-painted 1814-light centered on one man, in the white shirt-faces of the firing squad are not shown. Impressionists can be identified by their loose, unfinished brushwork because of the camera artists tried to capture what the cameras could not: luncheon on the grass. 1 naked woman, 2 clothed men, 1 other woman in underclothes in the background. People at the time were disturbed by the fact that the work portrayed a modern naked woman.
