It was then that they found a strange object made from a substance found almost nowhere in the world. It seemed to glow and was in the shape of a sphere*. Suddenly, the three were thrust in a flash of light. As the three woke up, they realized that they were all younger by many years, pangloss having received his ear, eye, and tip of his nose. They were standing in a hallway when they see an approaching figure. Lo and behold, what kind of a man is this?, said candide. And what sort of man is that?, exclaims martin. A living man that eats, breathes, and excretes, replied holden. Where is it that is here?, asked pangloss. Not wanting to speak much longer, candide, martin, and pangloss leave.
