People you know = people you see on a daily basis/people whose face you recognize. Robin dunbar ~ specialist in cognition of primates. The social cortex ~ as brain size increases, so does group size. Stable social relationships: people where you know everybody and how everybody relates to everybody else. Humans can be expected to maintain 100-230 stable relationships in their heads. Studying the social networks of primate bands, criminal organizations, companies, hunter- gatherer societies . Social grooming ~ groom each other as reinforcing their relationship structures and keeping up and managing connections and robustness within social structures. Which social media change people take sel es as a part of social grooming exchange. Larger social networks can be sustained because they rely on rules, laws, norms . You will never meet, never see, never even know all of your kind but people will kill and die for being whatever ethnicity.
