Vi: reduction in size, docility - chill, emphasis on meat, milk, or wool, new colors. Identifying a domesticated plant: larger seeds, seeds stay attached to head, loss of self dispersal, loss of natural defenses, reduction in husk, spines. Other indications of agriculture: technologies of cultivation, grindstones, sickles, plows, granaries, technologies of the landscape, field borders, terraces, irrigation, cattle pens, grazing areas, juveniles. Levant: kebaran (25-15 kya: cool/dry climate, hunter-gatherers, broad diet, microliths, arrowheads, blades for sickles, mobility. Early kebaran site: ohalo: 23 kya, first grinding stones, wood/brush huts, variety of wild seeds and nuts, small animals, bird, fish.
