Married to hephaestus (comes off as a joke in many stories) but frequently has affairs w/ Ares; fell in love w/ adonis (a human), and anchises. Connects aphrodite w/ eos, goddess of the dawn. Aphrodite can snap her fingers, and make zeus fall in love w/ anything. Zeus is sick of it so he makes her fall in love w/ anchises. Phren, phrenes - where the thumos(heart/spirit/courage) resides. Noos - mind, in the sense of rational, perceptive faculty. Aidos - shame, sense of shame, honorableness, reverence. Philos, philotes, philia - dear to, the state of being philos.
