Expectancy value perspective- attitudes have two functions: cognition- head, affect- heart. Our attitudes are a combination of beliefs and attributes. Symbolic approach- attitudes are characterized by emotional reactions, sweeping sentiments, and powerful prejudices. These symbolic predispositions lie at the core of people"s attitudes to(cid:449)ard so(cid:272)ial issues. O(cid:373)e people"s attitudes are guided (cid:271)(cid:455) (cid:271)road ideologi(cid:272)al pri(cid:374)(cid:272)iples.
