Exam will likely be march 6th or 8th. No lecture on the day of the exam. It"ll cover everything we"ve talked about up until the exam. Take the attendance quiz about ok go - upside down & inside out . Flying straight up and straight down causes a feeling of weightlessness (~30 seconds) One of the answers is balloons (with paint) Sun"s gravity makes it out to the oort cloud. Sun"s solar radiation makes it out to the kuiper belt. Both of these places have lots of comets. Convection iron in liquid core = source of magnetic eld. When liquid iron spins, that creates the magnet. Other planets don"t have the same magnetic eld as earth, so we have evolved di erently than other planets. Remember the di erent chemical layers versus physical layers. 99% of the crust is comprised of just 8 elements. Roughly 50% is oxygen, 25% is silicon (by weight)
