Basin low lying area in which xsediment is collected. Isostasy equilibrium between earth"s crust and mantle. Sandstone clastic sedimentary rock composed of well-sorted, well-rounded. Shale clastic sedimentary rock composed of very well sorted, very well rounded clay like sediment. Stratigraphic column visual representation of a sequence of sedimentary rock in which the oldest rock is at the bottom and the youngest rocks are on top quartz (silica) sediment. Nearly 1,000 ft of ice covered the cuyahoga valley.
