Document Summary
Organized psychological and physiological reactions to changes in one"s relationship in word. Partly measurable patterns of behavior and physiological arousal. Passions you feel ( whether or not you want to) James lange theory: arousal comes from before emotion. Experience of emotion involves awareness of our play physiological responses to emotion ( arousing stimulus) Facial movement provide enough peripheral information to create an emotional experience. Ex. fake smile and it will make you feel better. We interpret the intensity of peripheral responses. We label these responses as a specific emotion. Depends on identifying the cause of an event. Ex. man goes walking on a bridge to a women or. man walking on normal land without the women. Arousal from one experience carries over to affect emotion in an independent situation. Emotion: arousing stimulus simultaneously triggers: physiological responses, the subjective experience of emotion. Brain receives sensory information and directly creates the experience of an emotion.
