After the buddha reached enlightenment, the buddha was reluctant to teach, but the god. Brahma recommended that he did teach about buddhism and how to reach enlightenment. Buddha wanted to tell his five disciples (learned in previous lecture) about his teachings, but they abandoned him after he accepted a meal, going against their teachings of controlled starvation. However, the buddha figured the five disciples were staying in an animal sanctuary called deer. Park, so he decided to walk there, 150 miles. Upon arriving, the five men collectively decided to ignore the buddha as if he wasn"t there, but when he came into their presence, they were immediately moved, greeting him and offering their seats up to him. The first sermon which the buddha gave to the five men was known as. Dhammachakkappavattana, also known as setting the wheel of the dharma in motion, in the language of pali.
