Sexually dimorphic males and females express different physiological traits. Very early hominins with hair cover probably had light skin (chimps) Fur was lost because of increased running. Increased development of sweat glands for cooling. Without hair, skin became darker (melanization0: protects against uv radiation. Indigenous skin color differences correlate with patterns of uv radiation. The more eumelanin an individual has, the darker their skin.
