Human artists can influence audiences and make people feel zeitgeist. What makes a great artist: must have a powerful vision of the world that is deeply personal and deeply truthful, must have the willingness to communicate that vision, technique necessary to communicate that vision. Fundamental characteristics that make us human: ability to intuit (ability to learn, ability to symbolize. We could all see different things in abstract art. Creativity - bringing forth of new forces and forms. Aesthetics - the study of the nature of beauty and art kent aesthetic appreciation is subjective, but informed. Gives visible or other forms to feelings. Can also reveal metaphysical or spiritual truths. Helps people see the world in new ways. Art"s functions (how it does what it does) Examines any info outside of the art work. Universality (we can all relate to it)
