Parents who invest more in their offspring will be choosier in who they made with. Women must have a high initial investment in their offspring vs. men who do not need to invest very much (just their sperm) Eggs are expensive, include genetic material, nutritional material, and pregnancy is a lot of effort on the body. Women choosier, want to select specific men to be fathers. Males that are strong, can protect, and can provide resources. They also want high quality offspring and to know about them. Women who accept opportunistic behaviour from men do not have as high genetic quality as those how have higher standards. When men who want to settle down or produce good quality offspring, they will be choosy. # of partners desired in next 30 years.
