Internal working model- state of mind, schema of what relationships should be like. Less likely to avoid conflicts on the phone. More likely to experience break-up via texting. 82% of couples text multiple times a day. Related to good communication and good relationship satisfaction: sending is even better than receiving. Some report its better able to communicate via technology. Can promote the relationship to the outside world; facebook, Chatting online enhances self disclosure and feelings of connection. Bad texting: broach a controversial subject, being mean, when it replaces face to face.
