Parents: our first model of how a relationship should be and how we should act with other people. Early friendships shape our internal working model. Romantic relationships: partnerships such as long term relationships or marriage shape attachment, break-ups- ruptures in relationships especially when they aren"t mutual and are because of a lack of trust or infidelity. The children"s village of grasi, cesvaine latvia, june 2009. Cold and dark in the winter, sunny in the summer. Founded in 1995 by french man, alexander kristof. Small homes, fields, manor house- a small bed and breakfast to raise funds. Goal: provide an opportunity to overcome difficulties that children had in life and restore psychological health. Program: divided into 3 small family homes. Coed, 8 children per home, 2 to a room, ages 3-18(no younger than 3: one caregiver per home. House parent, on 24 hour shifts: schooling outside of the village. Children go to school with other children in the school district.
