Family size: in us: average is 2 children per woman, average iq decreases over increasing number of children. Resource availability decreases and siblings have to share. Smarter more educated people tend to have fewer kids. Best time to have kids: biologically. Sharp rise in fertility issues occur in the mid 30"s. Advanced maternal age 35 or older at time of delivery: socially. People are putting off marriage and childbirth to a later age because of: Social prime age 28-35: for best outcomes: children should be at least 2 years apart in age.
