The study of acute(immediate) responses to exercise and the chronic(long-term) adaptations to exercise. Starts from a single cell to an infant complete with a brain and behavioral capabilities. Rapid development of specialized cells and tissues, i. e. , organs, heart, brain, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, fingers, toes, etc. Fetal developmental period months 3 to 9. Growth by an increase in the size of each cell. A prenatal medical procedure in which high frequency sound waves are directed into the pregnant woman"s abdomen.
