Experimenting in sexual behavior but not identifying as gay. Homosexuality documented in more than 450 other species besides humans (dolphins, penguins, many primates) Gender identity is separate from sexual orientation. Experience or feeling of being either male or female or somewhere in between. Transgender (gender dysphoria): intensely uncomfortable with biological gender and strongly identifies with and wants to be the opposite gender. Transvestite: usually heterosexual male who dresses in women"s clothing for fun or for sexual arousal.
