Can delay relapses, but family therapies are best included alongside other forms of combined treatment. Social skill deficits in schizophrenia are independent of other symptoms. Reducing positive, negative, and disorganized symptoms does not help social skills. Sst does improve social adjustment, but not relapse rates.
