Paranoid PD (A)
● Often attribute irrational hidden meanings to others
actions
● Overreact to perceived indicators that they are being
attacked
○ Self-fulfilling Prophecy: Their expectations
actually cause the other person to act in the way
they fear
Schizoid PD (A)
● Detachment from social relationships and a restricted
range of emotional expression
○ Indifference toward other people -- no desire for
contact
○ Highly isolative
■ Stays away from people
○ Does not enjoy close relationships; has few (if
any) friends
○ Do not experience strong emotions and have low
emotional expression
