Stressors depress cognitive functions of memorizing, problem solving, planning, and remembering. Fight or flight hormones affect brain areas involved in emotions, memory, and decision- making. As people age, stress depresses problem solving. Anger: can be justified with unfairness: can become hostile if not controlled. Guilt: stress from violating own values: six types of guilt.
