Finds wound or way into plant cell" transfers t-dna/ti genes. Cell will then make copy of t-dna in mitosis. Added genes in its place for b-carotene synthesis plus a promoter for the plant to accept it. Dna uses same 4 bases across all life. Know certain enzymes cut certain places in gene codes.
