It is hard to do it the way consituion says because of complexiies. Study of vital staisics such as birth rate and death rate which afect the populaion"s size. Someimes conlated with ferility which is the capacity to breed which is a physiological concept not ecological. Age of irst reproducion is important which is related to ferility. Life table which is tabular summary of mortality in a populaion. Fecundity schedule which is tabular summary of reproducive output of a populaion. Cohort life table follows single cohort from birth to death. Cohort is a group born in the same short ime interval. Nx is number of individuals alive at start of stage or age interval x. Lx is proporion of the original cohort surviving to start of stage or age interval x this is survivorship staisic. Proporion of cohort that lives to given age.
