Resource compeiion which is also known as exploitaive compeiion. Simply by exploiing the resource, one individual can have a negaive impact on another organism. This is the allelopathy of the black walnut tree. And other aggressive defense behaviors to limit access by other individuals. This is illustraive the presence of the other compeiive birds made the mockingbird expend energy that it would not otherwise use. Only new thing added is intraspeciic compeiion. dn/dt = rmaxn (k-n/k) K is the carrying capacity of the environment. The environment can only carry so many individuals along. If the populaion size is really low the growth is nearly exponenial.
