Intellect may be separable from the body but what the intellect works on comes from sense percepion. If you want the water you see it, it acivates a desire in you. If the desire is strong enough, then you move. Maimonides was philosopher, astronomer, religious scholar, and physician. Maimonides oath incorporated judeo-chrisian values to the hippocraic oath. He thought that medical stuf was a vocaion and calling from god. Medicine is actuated by love, so like don"t get conlicted interests. Very similar to the disease of the body which problem of body funcion and go see doctor. Disease of the soul will manifest itself in its character and you see the problem in behavior where you pursue the wrong thing much like in disease of the body.
