Could only sacrifice in the temple, met for the sabbath, and opened synagogoes for worship. Started as aegean civilizations based on grain, vineyards, and olive groves. Aegean civilization on the island of crete. Traders with egypt and became wealthy because of their control of the sea. Great warriors that started as an ethnic group. Had fortified settlements along the southern shore. Conquered the minoans, and eventually became the greeks.
