Recently there has been an explosion in the amount of knowledge we have about these issues. But they borrow from the old philosophers in key ways. Dualist vs monist are 2 diferent ontological posiions you can have. Discuss as to how they do or don"t interact. Monist- mind and body are the same substance. What that substance is difers from people to people. Recently we have had a shit to the monist side through physicalist. Systemaic and pervasive mind body correlaions which means that we have been doing this research for someimes. When you feel a thing, your brain looks a certain way.
