What is interpersonal communication: dyadic communication in which two individuals, sharing the roles of sender and receiver, become connected through the mutual activity of creating meanings. Interpersonal communication: small group communication, organizational communication, face-to-face public speaking, mediated public (or mass) communication. Interpersonal communication: dyadic, usually spontaneous and informal, roles are flexible and partners are both senders and receivers simultaneously, communication between 2 people, usually face to face, participants receive maximum feedback from each other. Face-to-face public speaking: a single speaker addresses a large group of individuals simultaneously, speaker communicates to hypothetical receiver, mutual interaction is impossible, clear organization, careful planning, and fairly formal, noncoversational style are characteristics of this type.
