Scientific method definition: understand the process of science. Step #3: test the hypothesis; this can be done either subjectively or objectively. Objective tests: firmness, texture, bitterness, odor, liking. Step #5: revise your hypothesis; within this step you can create a new hypothesis. Replication: results will almost always never be exactly the same every time even when using objective manners. Error: this can occur at either random or human error. Human error is worse than a random mistake so try to avoid if possible. Precision: how close repeated measurements are to each other. These are calculated from each other rather than for accuracy. Accuracy: how close you are to the real value . *make sure you are able to differentiate the difference between accuracy and precision. Standardization: set up values to know how far you are off. Be sure to calibrate after you use your machines. Include items you would expect to be rated in a certain way (subjective measurement)
